As I was playing along the street of basilica near our old house I saw a man walking down the street, I hardly recognize him but I think he was my father. He was wearing a polo shirt with a blue and black combination with the logo of his company (MERALCO) and was holding a brown envelop. But my mom told me that he was already gone last night to work abroad.
As my curiosity arises I approach him with gladness and hold his arm as if I was been longing for quite a long time. We are walking back home and I ask him "You’ve already left last night why are you still here?", he looks at me and smile but did not talk back.
Then suddenly I’m awake, it was only a dream but it seems like it was very real. I open my eyes and the tears starts to fall. It was almost a year when my father died. Exactly one month before his first death anniversary. He died November 6, 2009 in a hospital at the “our lady of Lourdes hospital” in Sta. Mesa , Manila
I remember my father as a humble person, a very cheerful guy and very friendly. At his work he is so popular everyone knows him. Everyone in the company where he work has its own alias one is “payong”, “tiyagong akyat” or “baba” and my father’s alias is “aswang”, probably because his province is CAPIZ. He’s a very hardworking person and had a lot of friend.
I’d miss him so much, good bye papa…..thanks for the good memories we shared together.
